always step one

God Exists.

The FEAR of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom.

This is step one.

If you don’t believe, like from the bottom of your belly, you are starting from the wrong place.

There’s something bigger than You. Outside of your control. That you can’t manipulate.

…and if you think you can then that’s the age-old delusion that started in the garden. If I eat this fruit I can become like God. That didn’t work out so great.

So what’s the answer. Humble yourself before the CREATOR OF THE UNIVERSE and admit that there’s something bigger and greater than you and bigger than something human philosophers and scientists have designed as a theory. That something is God. Personal. Relational. All-Powerful. Sovereign.

Have you come to the end of your own strength yet? This is the best place to be.

Pray: “God, I don’t know who You are and I don’t really even know what I believe about You. But I know that there’s something bigger in this world than what I can see. I’ve done everything I can to control my life, my world, my…… and I can’t do it anymore. I’m tired. I ask that You would reveal Yourself to me and open my the eyes of my heart to see You and know You. I surrender my will to You.

“And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.“ Hebrews 11:6
